Following years' worth of renovations, The Statue of Liberty is back and better than ever. Lady Liberty, representative of freedom to the world, shines bright in New York Harbor. Now, visitors can view the inside of the statue through a glass ceiling, and capture a better image of Lady Liberty through the enhanced lighting and video system surrounding the statue. Once again, visitors can walk out onto the observation deck to see New York City and its Harbor. With a torch and a book in her hands, Lady Liberty has welcomed immigrants and visitors for over a century. Created by Frenchmen Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi, the Statue was a gift from France to the United States. Admission: Round trip ferry tickets are USD10 for adults, USD8 for seniors, and USD4 for children 4-12, under 3 free.

  • Very cool to see.
  • Small observatory deck not a great view.

“Very cool to see, long security lines, I recommend not going up because you wait for an hour or more but jut going on the ferry and getting of to look. Also circle line boat cruise is a good way to see it, you don't stop but you go pretty close!”

  • How beautiful and huge she really is in person. A must see!
  • The long lines, double security checks, and no trips to the very top anymore.

“A new York (or new jersey) must see! Very patriotic, but also very beautiful. Some hits from a pro: go early, bring snacks, get tickets ahead of time (it is worth the few extra bucks to do so) and get off the boat first! Know that you must put any bags in a locker, so rush over and do that first. Then be prepared to wait in a long line. Talk about 9/11 security. And if you are taking small children, be prepared, one of the things you go through is a "blower" and it shoots air at you to check for chemicals. It scares kids if they cannot go through with you. However once you are past all that, it is truly a magnificent site! Even though you can not go to the crown anymore, it is still worth the trip!”
